What is Connact?

Connact was created with the aim of fostering dialogue on the economic, financial, and social challenges facing Europe, defining shared priorities for action.

Connact combines ‘Connection’ and ‘Action’, representing a dialogue platform arising from the need for open discussion between public and private decision-makers, with a precise goal: to chart a common course on the issues affecting Italy discussed in Europe, to collectively address economic, financial, and social challenges.

With the start of the new legislative mandate of the European Commission, the College of Commissioners, led by President Ursula von der Leyen, is tasked with defining the priorities for the five-year 2024–2029 term to outline strategic directions for strengthening Europe.

The need to promote dialogue and interaction between trade associations, businesses, along with the Italian Members of the European Parliament, and EU officials is therefore pressing.

It is in this context that Connact takes shape, as a series of events facilitating dialogue between diverse voices all working towards shared goals, creating connections between the parties and aiming to transform strategies into action.

The discussion between public and private decision-makers becomes an opportunity for networking on the Rome – Brussels – Strasbourg axis, involving national, EU and international institutions, promoting opportunities for public discussion through theme-based events and networking moments

8 thematic events in 2025, in addition to the annual meeting, in order to create an opportunity for discussion and jointly outline the scope of issues and priorities to align with strategic lines that are functional to the Italian System.
